Linmar Care was established with the aim of helping more people maintain their independence by providing them with assistance with personal care and a wide variety of domestic tasks. Linmar Care is an independent Home Care company providing care and support to older people in their homes in and around Colchester, Tiptree, Mersea Island, Marks Tey and Coggeshall in Essex. At Linmar Care we  knew from personal experience that finding suitable help for older relatives could be difficult and were motivated to establish a new type of care service to make it easier to arrange reliable and trustworthy help when people need it. Linmar Care was established with an ambition to provide quality bespoke Home Care. The aim was to create a modern, compassionate and forward thinking care service to meet the differing needs of older people requiring support in order to remain in their own home. Keeping people healthy and happy in their own home is a priority at Linmar Care.

The ethos at Linmar Care is that everyone is to be treated as an individual and we take the time to get to know our clients and try to include everything that is important to each one of them in their daily care. We understand that medicine must be given at set intervals to maximise effectiveness and that the continuity of a regular Care Assistant is important for many clients.  We believe that minimum one hour visits are key to providing really meaningful care, especially if the client has conditions such as Dementia or Parkinson’s. A member of our management team is always available to deal with any out of hours emergency that might arise.

Linmar’s philosophy of care is to encourage and support clients to contribute to and take control of their health and quality of life as much as possible and believe this promotes greater independence and dignity. We take a holistic approach to care at home. It is not just about the client’s wishes and care needs, we also focus on the client’s lifestyle and interests in order to promote active participation and create positive outcomes recognising the rights of each person to choose their lifestyle and embrace this as a valuable way of maintaining independence. We recognise that every person is unique and their needs, wishes and preferences can change from day to day and that is why we offer a flexible service which evolves as required to maintain its effectiveness.
